SeaQuest offers fantastic value for money, and gives you an opportunity to do up to 2 dives on the Outer Barrier Reef at 2 different sites. This vessel also operates as a transfer boat taking passengers to the over night boat – OceanQuest.

Purpose built for snorkelling and diving SeaQuest has an average travelling time of 90-minutes each way and limits its daily passenger numbers to a maximum of 60. The boat has been custom built to provide ease of access to and from the water with a semi-submerged deck at the rear. SeaQuest has air-conditioned interiors and exterior sun decks

In the afternoon SeaQuest meets up with OceanQuest, the liveaboard dive vessel. Some passengers will transfer onto OceanQuest and others onto SeaQuest for the return journey back to Cairns.

SeaQuest caters for snorkellers, certified and introductory divers. The SeaQuest Discover Scuba Diving program is your perfect introduction to the reef with pre-dive tuition, close underwater supervision, dive recognition card and certificate included.

Certified divers can explore the Great Barrier Reef on 2 spectacular dives in one day.
The dive locations on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef’s warm waters (approx 70km offshore) offer outstanding underwater visibility, superb coral formations and abundant colourful marine life including Wally our friendly 1.5m Maori Wrasse at Norman Reef, cute little Nemos and magnificient turtles and sting rays! You may also have the possibility to dive in beautiful coral gardens and caves.

The introductory program is your perfect introduction to the reef with pre-dive tuition teaching you all you have to know about the diving skills, equipment, communication under water and the marine wildlife before your exciting first dive! Close underwater supervision by our friendly instructors will give you an amazing experience and you will also receive a certificate of recognition. Don’t forget to get your photo taken.

Please check the Introductory Discover Scuba Diving medical declaration before you go to make sure there are no medical conditions that may prevent you from diving.

You will learn how to put your equipment on during the pre-snorkelling briefing. Guided snorkelling tours are also included in your trip if you wish to learn and see more of the marine wildlife. Our crew keep a constant watch over the snorkelling sites. So you just have to relax and enjoy the wonders of the reef in complete comfort.
