Reef Day Tripper operates daily except for Wednesday
Want small groups and a relaxed day snorkelling and maybe trying a dive? Then this is the boat for you.
Taking a maximum of 20 people out to the Great Barrier Reef, Reef Daytripper is a beautifully kept sailing catamaran that was built in 1998. It measures 12 m x 7.5m and is very spacious inside and out.
It visits Upolu Reef which is a very beautiful location that lies at the very edge of the Outer Barrier Reef.
Reef Day Tripper takes you on personalised, small group trips to the Great Barrier Reef.
We limit trips to 20 guests, so everyone has space and comfort.
Even though our catamaran can carry 27 people, we reduce numbers to create a more relaxed experience.
When the weather turns windy or rainy, we lower guest numbers to around 16.
This ensures everyone can sit comfortably inside, stay dry, and enjoy the trip safely.
Our well-maintained catamaran, built in 1998, measures 12 m x 7.5 m.
It offers plenty of space both inside and out.
Moreover, with two sails—the main and the jib—and smooth, comfortable bow nets, guests glide across the water with ease.
Certified divers, introductory divers, and snorkellers all find plenty of support onboard.
In addition, our small group size allows personalised guidance throughout the trip.
Next, we take you to Upolu Reef, located at the edge of the Outer Barrier Reef.
This protected World Heritage site is home to colourful corals and abundant marine life.
As a result, snorkelling and diving here offer safe, warm, and clear waters for all skill levels.
Trips spend just under four hours at the reef, visiting two separate dive sites.
Therefore, guests have plenty of time to snorkel, dive, or relax in the shade.
At the first site, a snorkel guide gives a fun and interactive introduction.
Additionally, beginners or less confident swimmers receive extra tuition.
We provide swimming noodles, guidance, and escorted support, so everyone feels confident in the water.
Furthermore, our low guest numbers allow us to spend more one-on-one time with those who need it most.
Our greatest strength is our personalised service.
Being owner-operated, we actively monitor your safety and enjoyment every day.
Moreover, our trusted crew delivers friendly, professional, and enthusiastic hospitality.
In addition, one of our instructors speaks both German and English, making international guests feel at home.
While exploring the reef, keep your eyes open for dolphins, turtles, and seasonal whales.
Every trip offers opportunities to encounter wildlife in its natural habitat, creating unforgettable memories.
Consequently, your adventure becomes both fun and educational.
From snorkelling and diving to wildlife spotting and lounging on deck, Reef Day Tripper delivers a relaxed, fun, and unforgettable reef experience.
Therefore, every guest enjoys the Great Barrier Reef their way.
