The PADI Rescue Diver course is divided into three sections: 2 days pool and classroom for your Knowledge and Skill development followed by a 2 day 1 night or 3 day 2 night trip on board Ocean Quest for your Practical application.
All three sections will be completed under the professional supervision and guidance of your Deep Sea Divers Den PADI Instructor. All open water training takes place on the Outer Great Barrier Reef.
The duration of the PADI Rescue diver course is over four or five days. The first 2 days will be land based and will comprise of the Rescue theory and practice sessions in the pool. If you are not a holder of a valid First Aid (CPR) certification, the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) course will commence on day one of your itinerary. Prices shown below include a first aid course.
You can then chose to take your Rescue Open Water sessions over a 2 day 1 night (4 day course), or 3 days 2 night trip (5 day course) aboard Ocean Quest.
Day 1:
Complimentary hotel transfer 9am pick up.
The first day will be spent in the classroom, if you do not have current CPR qualifications then the EFR course will be the first half of the day.
The afternoon is theory sessions for the PADI Rescue diver course. Finish 5pm.
Day 2:
Complimentary hotel transfer 9am pick up.
Morning – finishing off the theory and sitting the Final Exam
Around mid-morning we will start with the pool sessions.
In the afternoon we will continue to fine tune your rescue skills ready for the open water portion of the course.
Days 3 and 4:
The next 2 days will be on the Barrier Ref partaking in your Open Water sessions for the Rescue Course.
If you chose the 4 day Rescue course you will depart back to Cairns at 2.30 pm on Day 4.
Day 5:
Fun diving on Ocean Quest.
