This 2 day and 1 night adventure combines the unforgettable opportunity to see the Great Barrier Reef with a small group, sailing aboard a comfortable 18 metre (60 foot) ketch.

Experience diving and snorkeling on the reef without the crowds. Set your own pace. Snorkel, scuba dive & relax as you explore the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.

Our charter yachts take a maximum of just 10 guests, so you’ll receive the personal attention not possible on the larger tour vessels. Santa Maria offers 3 day/2 night tours and Coral Sea Dreaming does 2 day/1 night trips.

A private charter lets you decide how long you want to spend snorkelling, diving, & relaxing on the Great Barrier Reef.

Normally scheduled cruises depart each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

ITINERARY

Day One

Arrive on board and enjoy a light breakfast.

Depart for the Great Barrier Reef

Morning tea will be served while sailing to your first reef location.

Arrive at the Reef - Time for snorkelling, diving and lunch.

Afternoon Tea - A break between activities.

Dinner - Relax while the evening dinner is served on deck with the reef and sunset in the background.

Day Two

Wake up on the reef and enjoy a morning swim - snorkel or dive.

Depart for the next reef location.

Full breakfast is served and then resume water activities.

Lunch is Served.

Depart for Cairns - 'Hoist the Sails' and join in the sailing as you head back to Cairns from the reef

CABINS

Oversized Private Stateroom: Bedding is 1 Queen Bed for 2 Adults, + 2 additional Single Bunks for families. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & 2 Children.

Private Cabin: Bedding is 1 Double Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

Front Quad Shared Cabin: Bedding is 4 Single Bunks (bottom 2 bunks can be made into a double). Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children

Notes for travellers

Bring a small overnight bag only. Space is limited on the boats

Alcohol is BYO - no glass bottles, please

Shoes are not worn while on the boats, so it is not necessary to bring any special type of deck shoes

The boats are located at the Marlin Marina, Finger D, which is directly behind the Shangri La Hotel and Pier Shopping in Cairns. For those clients who are making their own way, please arrive for boarding at 8:00am sharp (Departure is at 8:30am)

Re-confirm trip with the crew 24-48 hours prior to departure

Reef taxes $10 per person per day

Transfers available - $10 per booking for city transfers. (No Northern Beaches transfers)

Departs: 8.30am Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from D Finger, Marlin Marina Cairns,(Directly behind Shangri-La Cairns & Pier Shopping) Boarding approximately 8.00am

Returns: 4.30pm Wednesday, Friday & Sunday
