Reef Quest is a brand new boat fresh off the slip and will offer passengers luxury and comfort while travelling to some of the very best sites available on the Outer Great Barrier Reef in only 90 minutes. Purpose built for diving and snorkelling, ReefQuest boasts a huge dive deck fully equipped with brand new dive gear of the highest standards.
The trip will offer passengers the opportunity to participate in up to three dives at two different Outer Reef Locations. Reef Quest has access to 17 exclusive moorings on the Outer Great Barrier Reef at Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reef to ensure diverse diving and a minimal environmental impact on our beautiful reef. Dive sites will be chosen on a daily basis by the vessel’s Captain for the best variety and visibility according to the weather conditions.
IReef Quest is 24m long, has a 9m beam and boasts seating over two air conditioned indoor levels, as well as three spacious sundecks (top of the boat, second level of the boat and indented seating on the bow of the boat). The vessel is also licensed to carry 125 passengers, however these numbers will be capped at 80 passengers to ensure maximum comfort on board for all of our guests.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is your perfect introduction to the reef with pre-dive tuition, close underwater supervision, dive recognition card and certificate included.
Certified divers can explore the Great Barrier Reef on 3 spectacular dives in one day.
The dive locations on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef’s warm waters (approx 70km offshore) offer outstanding underwater visibility, superb coral formations and abundant colourful marine life including Wally our friendly 1.5m Maori Wrasse at Norman Reef, cute little Nemos and magnificient turtles and sting rays! You may also have the possibility to dive in beautiful coral gardens and caves.
The introductory program is your perfect introduction to the reef with pre-dive tuition teaching you all you have to know about the diving skills, equipment, communication under water and the marine wildlife before your exciting first dive! Close underwater supervision by our friendly instructors will give you an amazing experience and you will also receive a certificate of recognition. Don’t forget to get your photo taken.

All of the snorkelling equipment you will require is supplied as part of your trip, including a wetsuit or stinger suit as well as floatation noodles. You will learn how to put your equipment on during the pre-snorkelling briefing. Guided snorkelling tours are also included in your trip if you wish to learn and see more of the marine wildlife. Our crew keep a constant watch over the snorkelling sites. So you just have to relax and enjoy the wonders of the reef in complete comfort.
A buffet lunch is served around 12pm and includes cold meats and salads, bread rolls, and fresh fruit. Complimentary tea and coffee is served on arrival and the licensed bar is open throughout the day, serving drinks and snacks.
