Rescue Diver Course

Up to this point your diver training has focused on preventing problems and handling problems you might experience yourself.
The next stage is broadening your perspective and considering the needs of other divers - that's what the PADI Rescue Diver course is all about. As a PADI Rescue Diver you'll learn to prevent and manage problems, sharpen your observation skills and help others avoid problems.
The Rescue Diver course is a crucial step in your diving education and is highly recommended to all divers. It's a transitional stage in your diving education where you move beyond just diving for fun by expanding your knowledge of some of the more technical aspects of diving as well as learning rescue and emergency skills. Throughout this course you will come to appreciate and understand the importance of this training relevant to diver safety and incident minimization and management.
As a PADI Rescue Diver you'll learn to prevent and manage problems, sharpen your observation skills and help others avoid problems.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is divided into three sections: Knowledge development, Skill development and Practical application.
The duration of the PADI Rescue diver course is over four or five days.
Prerequisite for this course is a PADI Advanced Open water certificate or the equivalent certification with another training agency.
If you are not a holder of a valid First Aid (CPR) certification, the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) course will commence on day one of your itinerary.
If you haven't dived for a while a Scuba Tune up or check out dive (to refresh your knowledge and skills) may be required. No extra cost involve unless you request a separate session prior to the trip.

Outside of your non-training dives you can expect spontaneous real life Rescue scenarios, to further develop your Rescue skills.

These scenarios will range from panicked divers on the surface, missing diver searches and in water resuscitation of unconscious divers.
