Haba Day Trips - Ex Port Douglas |
|
|
HABA departs daily from the Marina
Mirage in Port Douglas bound for scuba diving and snorkeling adventures.
We carry a maximum of 100 passengers as we travel to the outer edge
of the Great Barrier Reef. |
| You have the the opportunity to
spend up to 5 hours in the water at stunning Agincourt,
Opal and St Crispin Reefs. The exclusive moorings provide close
proximity to the reef which means easy access from the in-water
swim platform. Our guests feel comfortable, safe and secure in their
surroundings creating a confident and enjoyable environment. |
| certified
divers, introductory
divers, and snorkellers
Our custom-built wavepiercer catamaran is designed to cruise comfortably
at high speeds slicing through waves - the ideal vessel in all weather
conditions. The luxurious interior features an audio visual system,
reef cinema as well as a fully licensed bar and comfortable table
seating for all passengers. Morning and afternoon tea, buffet lunch
and transfers are all included along with snorkeling and diving
gear for passengers of all ages and sizes. |
| For the divers there
is a high speed tender to get them to the best dive sites, and assist
with drift dives and other dive activities. All dives include a
guide at no extra charge, and no time limits are set on your diving. |
| Snorkelers are provided
with all the gear, snorkeling instruction, even a reef ecology talk
and guided snorkeling tour. First timer snorkelers s will appreciate
the comfortable flotation assistance devices that keep you on top
of the water, and the guided snorkel tour. |
| Adventurous snorkelers
seeking the experience of a scuba dive can opt for taking one or
two introductory dives, a highly supervised guided scuba dive. |
| This 74-foot (24m)
wavepiercing catamaran is both extremely stable and quick, with
a 32 knot top speed making it the quickest trip out to the reef.
While taking fairly small groups of up to 80 divers and snorkelers
out to the reef, the boat has features normally found only in much
larger operations. An large onboard theatre provides a great orientation
to what you are about to see on the reef, and a built in glass observation
feature allows you a first look at the reef before you get in the
water! |
| The HABA Day is all
inclusive meaning there are no hidden extras. We provide a delicious
tropical buffet lunch, morning and afternoon tea, transfers, high
quality equipment, flotation devices, optical masks, lycra/wetsuits
seasonally and hot and cold freshwater showers. The vessel provides
maximum comfort with full air-conditioning, table seating for all
passengers, relaxing sun-lounge areas, 4 spacious toilets/change
rooms and baby changing facilities. |
