The Cod Hole and Ribbon Reefs
Taka Dive Adventures has been operating liveaboard dive trips for
over 15 years to the Northern Great Barrier Reefs, Ribbon Reefs
and the Coral Sea. Their brand new purpose-built dive vessel was
launched in January 2004 setting a new standard in dive travel.
The famous Cod Hole attracts divers
from all over the world combined with the Shark Feed at Osprey Reef
is certainly a dive trip of a lifetime.
Departs every Tuesday afternoon
reaching the Cod Hole by the next morning. The first dive is usually
at Challenger Bay (Ribbon Reef no. 9) This gives you the opportunity
to get used to the water and equipment before diving the world famous
Cod Hole.
The next couple of dives are at
the Cod Hole itself where you will feed the Giant Potato Cod during
the dive. This is a must for all photographers. The last dive for
the day is done at Pixie's Pinnacle.
You will spend Thursday and Friday
diving down the ribbon reefs back towards Cairns. All up you have
3 days of the best diving Australia has to offer while experiencing
up to 10 dives.

From May to July we have the Dwarf

these whales. We team up with the James Cook University researchers,

All passengers who have had interaction
with the Minkes fill in a questionnaire, which helps to further
