Dive trips to the Outer Great Barrier Reef from
Cairns, including the world famous Cod Hole, Ribbon Reefs, and
the spectacular Coral Sea as well as many remote Far Northern
Reefs. The best for your diving or snorkel vacation.
|
Let us help you plan your perfect dive vacation
to the Great Barrier Reef. We have been actively involved in the
dive industry here for 20 years
and have either worked for the companies listed here or have
travelled on all the vessels extensively. We only list the ones
we would personally
use if we were visiting Cairns. In fact we still
do go out on the trips listed when we can find the time!
|
This site is run by diving professionals including
an instructor trainer (who is also a skipper and marine biologist),
so you cant get better recommendations that those!
|
As locals we have dived all the
accessable dive sites in the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea
area and only offer what we consider the best dive tours
from Cairns. All the dive tours offered visit excellent dive sites
on state of the art dive vessels.
|
The general rule when choosing
a dive trip is the further you travel from land, the better the
condition of the reefs will be (and the greater the visibility
will be).
|
 |
The best way to see the Great
Barrier Reef is book an organized scuba vacation package
on a liveaboard dive and snorkel boat. A liveaboard dive vacation
allows you to maximise your diving (or snorkeling) time. There
are a number of vessels that operate from Cairns offering a wide
range of tours. These trips can range from 2 - 11 days. Similar
to hotels, there are different standards of accommodation on different
vessels, from budget to luxury.
|
If you really don't have time
for an overnight tour we are still able to offer day trips that
allow you to get to the Outer Barrier Reef due
to the multi million dollar dive vessels now operating out of
Cairns.
